Client love for Lacey Ortiz Syracuse and Central New York birth and postpartum doula.

Feel the Love!

“This was my second pregnancy, and I knew from the experience with my first that I wanted extra support this time around. Not only support for myself, but also for my husband as he wanted to be more confident in assisting me as much as he could during labor.
Lacey was very patient and understanding while I brought up my concerns and questions about my birth plan and expectations. She gave my husband the tools he needed to confidently assist with labor, and even answered questions for my mom who was also present in the delivery room. She made the labor and delivery room so comfortable with fairy lights, essential oils, and lovely note cards with encouraging messages for laboring. They really made all the difference. Her expertise and knowledge came in handy when it was time to make informed decisions that would be best for my baby and me, which was very important to us. I could not have asked for a better labor team with Lacey leading the way. She stayed calm and collected, and gave me the courage to keep going and remain calm when labor ramped up. This was honestly an amazing experience for my husband and me. Thank you so much, Lacey, for all the work that you do for mothers and mothers-to-be :).”

“Lacey is an amazing doula!! She helped me stick with my plan and gave me such amazing advice during labor, and helped me with issues I had during postpartum! I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family, she made my experience so wonderful and I'm grateful to of had her along side me.”

-Jady (homebirth)

“Lacey is the absolute best! Her prenatal visits made us so much more comfortable and I felt much more prepared for my birth and everything that could happen! I have a lot of medical anxiety and ocd that really made me worried about how I’d handle pregnancy and labor, but Lacey told me just enough to be informed without going into extra details because that’s what I asked for! During labor, she ensured my care team there did the same to keep the energy low and as calm as possible. In postpartum, Lacey has still been a great support for breastfeeding and mental health check ins! 100% recommend her to anyone looking for support in their birth journey!”

-Cassandra (hospital birth)

“What can be said about this incredible Soul… Lacey was a Godsend-truthfully! Lacey stayed at my side throughout my entire labor and spoke words of encouragement into me whenever I needed a little reassurance. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better Doula to guide me before, throughout, and even after my Homebirth. She is kind, attentive, and thoughtful to say the very least. She will forever be apart of our family!”

-Paige (homebirth)

“Lacey was such a supportive presence throughout my pregnancy and birth. She was always available to answer questions and helped me feel prepared. I felt more confident and cared for having her by my side. She helped create a birth experience that felt safe, supported, and deeply meaningful. I am so grateful for her care and would absolutely recommend her to anyone going through this journey.”

“Lacey is an amazing birth and post partum doula! I had a very traumatic birth experience and she was with me every step of the way. She was there comforting me and my husband and didn’t leave our side! She is very knowledgeable with massage and pain management techniques to help ease the pain of labor. She showed my husband how to best support me through the process. A few weeks after having my baby, I texted Lacey that I was feeling overwhelmed in motherhood. She offered her post partum services and came right over- allowing me to get a full night of sleep! I could rest knowing my baby was in such good hands. I can’t wait to work with Lacey again hopefully with future babies! “

“I am so grateful for Lacey and I'm thrilled that she was our doula. Her calm and intentional demeanor was so helpful to have not only during the actual birth, but throughout the preparation and afterwards. It brought such a sense of peace knowing that she was there. I appreciate her thoughtfulness, kindness, and insight, even when things didn't go according to our birth plan. She was there to encourage and support all throughout the process. I would absolutely want Lacey to be a part of the experience if we were to have another baby in the future.”

-Jillian (hospital birth)

“Lacey came to my home the day I got discharged from the hospital. This was my first baby, and I was overwhelmed. My newborn had trouble latching, and I didn’t know anything about engorgement. I’m so thankful she was there to help me through that first night . She taught me how to feed my baby and helped soothe him. Over the next two months, she came three times a week and supported me through the toughest period. With her help, I was finally able to get a full night’s sleep. She was always on time and never missed a day. Super reliable! If I have a second baby, I would love to have her help again.”

-Mengdan (postpartum mom)

“Lacey was such a breath of fresh air to have in the delivery room. From her calming self to her being your biggest cheerleader at the time you need it most. She was such a huge help in my delivery- my delivery was by far not your regular delivery. I chose to have a non medicated labor. Lacey was there with different ideas on how we could make this work with breathing techniques, different positions, and even suggested different belly band techniques that she could help with. Me myself, I shut all that right down- Lacey smiled and said okay no problem we will do this as it comes and make decisions from there. She never over stepped or pushed anything on me that I didn't want to do. My labor went from 0-100 within minutes and Lacey never blinked an eye and kept my birthing plan exactly how I wanted it. Lacey truly was an angel at the most beautiful time for our family.”
